Create a community
1. Creating a new community
Communities directory: To create a community, go to the communities directory via the applications menu, then select the Communities application.
Please note: if the"Community" application does not appear, please refer to the Access your applications guide
Create a community: Click on the"Create a community" button in the left-hand sidebar (1).
Please note: if the"Create a community" button does not appear, please contact your platform administrator.
2. Community pre-configuration
Community creation begins with a series of pre-configuration steps, presented in a modal window via several tabs.
2.1. Community type

- Space type: enter the type of community configured on your platform (2)
- Synchronize with model
- If you select Yes, synchronization will allow you to align the community with an existing template.
You can choose which elements should be synchronized: the home page, applications and structure data (type, workflow, groups, etc.)
Please note that synchronized elements cannot be modified while the community is synchronized with the template. - If you choose no (default option): the community will be based on the template structure, but will remain free and customizable.
- If you select Yes, synchronization will allow you to align the community with an existing template.
Click"Next" (3) to move on to the Information tab.
2.2. Information
This tab is used to enter general community information (4).
For more information on access elements, move your mouse over the small .
Please note: you will be able to return to the access and registration options at community settings.
Click on"Next" (5) to move on to the Participants tab.
2.3. Participants
This tab is used to enter the people who will be part of the community (6).
Please note: the animators entered here will be community administrators. These people will have full rights to the community.
Click on"Finish"(7) to create the community and be redirected to its home page.
Please note: The creation of a community may be subject to a validation workflow. In this case, you will not be automatically redirected to the community's home page. Please contact the platform administrator for further information.
