Publish a Flash Info!

Do you need to send a server maintenance message to all staff? Or an urgent warning about a site access problem of interest only to the employees concerned?

Flash info allows you to publish dedicated content and highlightitina targeted , temporary way on your home page, or any other page on your platform.

1. How do I create a Flash Info?

You must first have the rights to publish this type of content. You need to be part of the "Communicant" group to see this option available.

From the application launcher(1)select the "Flash Info" application(2)

Clicking on the application opens a modal for Flash Info entry.

You can choose a particular workspace in which to post your Flash Info. If there's a community that matches your topic or audience, you can easily target your communication in this way.

A title and descriptive text are mandatory fields.

The criticality level is important in 2 respects: the first is visual. It will display your Flash Info on pages and in notifications according to the level chosen. The default colors are :

• Information: blue
• Warning: orange
• Alert: red

The second important aspect concerns individual notification settings. For Information messages, there is, by default, no email, but for Warning and Alert messages, there is. This is something to bear in mind, depending on the urgency or impact of the information published.

You can define whether or not Flash Info can be hidden by users on the pages concerned.

2. Make your Flash Info more effective.

A second page lets you automate the publication and/or display duration of your Flash Info.

Or profile the information to specific groups. For example, if you want information to be displayed on the general home page of your platform, but only visible to the audience concerned.
