Create a space for conversations
When you create your community, the conversation service is immediately available but remains inactive until you explicitly activate it.
As moderator (and only as moderator) you will be able to activate the conversation space for all the participants in your space.
You have 3 choices of publications:
- Ideas : To manage feedback from your community
- Collaborative FAQ: users ask questions and the community can come up with answers, one of which can be identified as being correct.
- Discussion forum: discuss topics by linking people and content in a dedicated space
In terms of settings, you can choose specific categories for your conversations. We recommend that you select the root of your community and go on to the next step.
You can choose to activate points/votes to allow users to simply report their support for a publication.
By default, please include yourself in the moderator group if you do not have a person dedicated to this task. This status will allow you, if necessary, to give advanced modification and deletion rights to one or more people in the chat room only.
Your Conversations interface is now ready, so you can easily manage your exchanges from here:
- Quick access to creation
- List of exchanges, with a quick view of the type and subject covered
- An icon to identify questions that have been answered or resolved
- You can add themes for greater clarity
- You can even add a notion of statust to track the life of ideas, for example, and manage their entire life cycle.
